About three years ago I pulled onto the shoulder of the freeway. When I stepped out of my car, I immediately stumbled and nearly broke my ankle. After regaining my composure I looked to see what I had stumbled over. I discovered a plastic water bottle filled with a yellow liquid that was definitely not water. I immediately came to the conclusion that the bottle was filled with urine. This just amplified my anger and disgust. I pondered that bottle for a long time - its contents, and the way in which it was introduced into my life. I began to see the bigger picture and how this little bottle and array of other plastic containers has unfortunately become a necessary implement for the trucking industry. I recognized the laundry list of limitations that are placed on drivers before they even enter the cab. And once they do, if the wheels aren’t rolling, money is not being made. For the rest of the day I thought about that bottle and knew there had to be a better solution. After arriving home I grabbed the laptop and began my research. I was floored when I found a published litter study from Ohio that indicated that 972,372 urine filled containers were located on their highways alone in 2004! This was equivalent to two bottles per mile, per week, for every mile of highway in their state! I knew now that this problem was of epidemic proportions. It was not going to go away. It was obvious to me that this has become a habitual and routine practice in the industry. With the goal in mind to eliminate these harmful bottles of urine, I began a journey that covered more than two years, and arrived at a simple solution - the SuperSlab 100® device. Initially, my thoughts were that men were the predominant source of these problematic containers, and I still believe this to be true. But not until we introduced the SuperSlab 100® to the industry in Las Vegas earlier this year did I realize that ladies were even more in need of our device than their male counterparts. Ladies are faced with unsanitary restroom facilities and problematic locations on a daily basis. The answer was clear. The SuperSlab 100® had to be a unisex product. As a result, the new patent pending female adapter was designed and is now available with every SuperSlab 100® device. The SuperSlab 100® is a disposable and biodegradable urine collection device equipped with a separate female adapter. This device enables men or women to urinate easily while standing. It converts the urine into a solid in seconds. It is marketed as a convenient, single use, hygienic, portable, leak proof, discreet, simple solution to the poor sanitary and problematic circumstances which continually confront women. The SuperSlab 100® has now been commercialized to national acclaim as a clever solution for the trucking industry and beyond. Additionally, the SuperSlab 100® gives ladies a sanitary choice anywhere when confronted with dirty toilet seats or problematic locations, as happens in daily life on the road. The trucking industry has embraced the SuperSlab 100® as an essential new product for the truck driver. It will help eliminate millions of plastic bottles of urine littered across our country daily. The official SuperSlab 100® site can be found at www.superslab100.com. |
