Barr-Nunn Provides Support to Granger, IA -August 2010—Barr-Nunn Transportation, a transportation industry leader, is proud to be aiding the United States Marine Corps at the forthcoming Corps League National Convention. As longtime supporters of the Marines, Barr-Nunn will be volunteering the services of one of its Marine Corp Trailers, which is to be placed at the entrance of the convention. The Marine Corps League Convention is the 87th of its kind and will be taking place throughout the week of August 8th at the Koury Convention Center in Greensboro, NC. The theme of this year's festivities will be a tribute to John Archer Lejeune, the founder and first commandant of the League as well as a man often hailed as the "greatest of all Leathernecks" and the "Marine's Marine." The Marine Corps League was founded in 1923 and is comprised of nearly 80,000 honorably discharged, active duty, retired and Reserve Marines. The League currently includes members who have worked to protect our great nation as far back as World War II as well as those still serving today. The League is pleased to be holding this year’s gathering in North Carolina, the state housing the United State’s largest population of Marines and Marine Corps Veterans.
