Pre-Employment Screening (PSP) Information Now Available to DOTJobHistory Registered Drivers

For those of you who have registered with DOTJobHistory (www.DOTJobHistory.com) PSP information is now available for order when you log into your account.
The information consists of records from the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administrations (FMCSA) Motor Carrier Information System (MCMIS). The information contains the most recent 5 years of crash data and 3 years of roadside inspection data from the FMCSA MCMIS system.
The cost is $10, direct to NICUSA, FMCSA’s contractor. DOTJobHistory does NOT have any additional fee for this information if you are registered and we would encourage you to obtain this information and add to your AppPak in your DOTJobHistory Digital Document Vault. (Again, there is no fee for this storage.)
You have no doubt been hearing and reading about CSA2010. This PSP information affects a motor carrier’s score, so this may become an important component of their screening process.

As such, our recommendation is that, like your Driving, employment and criminal infraction information, you know what your record says; correct errors if there are any and make this information available in your AppPak to potential carriers if you are looking for a job.

DOTJOBHISTORY AGREEMENT

DOTJobHistory's service will:

1. Provide you with the on-line tools to authorize DOTJobHistory to obtain your HireRight “DAC” report.

2. Authenticate identity, and other information you have provided including verifying that your Social Security Number is in a valid range, determine from what state it was issued, when it was issued and whether it has been reported to the Social Security Administration as a deceased number.

3. Perform a criminal record database scan that will check for criminal record information that has been made available. This information may be minor infractions or more serious crimes, including incarceration, sex offender and violent offender records. While the largest publicly available database is searched, not all criminal records are in the database.

4. If you provide us with a notarized release, we will check the national driver register. This register contains information on drivers whose privilege to drive has been revoked, suspended, canceled or denied or who have been convicted of serious traffic-related offenses.

5. Upon registration, you will have the option of purchasing your PSP information discussed above, with Immediate, On-Line availability and storage.

This information will be available only to those employers to whom you are choosing to have your application sent. They may review the information along with your application. You may review your own information at any time over the web by logging in at DOTJobHistory.com. In addition, you may control access to your information by changing your access codes.

DOTJobHistory also automatically protects you by reviewing any information contained in the criminal record database scan. If information is present-whether it's a minor traffic infraction or felony conviction-DOTJobHistory will not release the information to anyone but you for 72 hours. During that time you may provide an explanation and then release the information, dispute the information belongs to you or simply change or delete your access code so no one has access to any of your information.
