We can't help but wonder if you have heard about the truckers' strike. If not, do a search on google news or google "trucker strike." We did both.
That is how we ran across the following item from Snopes.com, the urban legend research site.
Truckers are poised to strike over rising fuel prices.
We found it interesting that the truckers' strike had made it to urban-legend status.
But, as Snopes points out in their update, the results of the 2008 effort 'will only be known in the aftermath.'
Makes it sound like an episode of The Twilight Zone, doesn't it?
Speaking of The Twilight Zone, tax time can put you there; here is another Tax Tip from PBS Tax and Bookkeeping Service. 
CLAIMING TAX CREDITS
There are various credits that can reduce or result in a refund of your
federal income taxes. You should consider the following:
1. The Earned Income tax credit for low income working individuals and
families
2. The Child and Dependent Care Credit
3. The Child Tax Credit
4. The Adoption Credit
5. Credit for the elderly or the disabled
6. The Savers Credit
Please be aware there are other credits also.
Qualifications and Limitations will apply to all credits.

The results of the TruckDriver.com Tax Time Survey have been filed. Looks like a little over half of you (52%) will be receiving a refund this year. 29% of you will be paying in, 5% are breaking even, and 14% of you reported that you wouldn't bother to file.
We can only say, to the fourteen percent of you that reported you were not bothering to file, we hope the IRS doesn’t subpoena our survey files.
Which brings up another tax concern, the audit. You always hear about someone being audited, but have you or anyone in your circle of family and friends ever been audited?
