As for things being back to normal, all we can really say about that is, if you want normal, turn to it on the dial of your washing machine. - The trucking industry hauls on average 10.7 billion tons of freight annually – nearly 70 percent of the nation’s total freight.
Doesn't feel that big while you are running down the road alone does it?
Here is another statistic from the ATA, commercial trucks consume 53.9 billion gallons of fuel each year. About 39 billion gallons, or 73 percent, is diesel. Multiply that times four bucks a gallon!
