Dear {FName},

Many of you may be old enough to remember when 'satellite tracking' first hit the trucking industry.

Even though it was a breakthrough communication tool, drivers were naturally leery of it and dispatchers were afraid they would be eliminated. Of course, both of those fears were unfounded and now days it's difficult to imagine doing business without it.

Everything changes with time, even satellite tracking. We stumbled upon a website recently and thought we would share  - Real Time Satellite Tracking - as the name implies, you really can track satellites. Enjoy!

Carrier of the Month

Hirschbach Motor Lines

Success is hard to find in the trucking business these days. So, where do you look for success as a professional driver? How about Hirschbach Motor Lines, Inc. headquartered in South Sioux City, NE.

Not only is Hirschbach Motor Lines growing, it's thriving. And not just thriving, but doing it in style. Hirschbach Motor Lines recently recognized 107 drivers that have driven at least 1,000,000 safe miles, including 4 over 5,000,000! You want to talk about success? You would have to look far and wide to find a carrier of any size that can boast those kinds of numbers.

Hirschbach Motor Lines is a refrigerated carrier holding both common and contract carrier authority. The primary market areas extend from the upper Midwest to/from the Southeast, Southwest, and the West Coast.

During the mid-1930's, Ray Hirschbach founded Hirschbach Motor Lines with a single truck and the basic philosophy that providing specialized, economical, on-time truck transportation service would create success not only for his company, but also for his customers. Skeptics became believers as Hirschbach transported bananas to the upper Midwest from customers in the Gulf ports. His excellent delivery record and the care he gave each load greatly impressed his customers.

Hirschbach's reputation for personal service spread and the company's growth accelerated rapidly. Manufacturers and producers, who had once relied exclusively on rail transportation, recognized Hirschbach's uncommon ability to provide for their specialized needs and economical, on-time service.

That uncommon ability became the Hirschbach trademark and foundation.

Hirschbach Motor Lines has several different options for professional drivers including regional, dedicated, and long haul opportunities for Company Drivers; a Lease Purchase program that is second to none; and a very lucrative pay package for Independent Contractors.

Another option available to Hirschbach drivers is their truck purchase program. In partnership with ABL, they offer the services of a direct lender specializing in financing late-model trucks for drivers with good to less than stellar credit.
