With current statistics showing that over the road professions now have an average life expectancy of less than 60 years, they realized that there was a pressing need within the trucking industry for an organization that is dedicated to improving the health and wellness of the commercial driver population. They renamed their association The Healthy Trucking Association of America to reflect their new goals and directives, and have since established the HTAA as the leading authority on driver health and wellness issues.
