New Study Underlines Trucking Industry’s Commitment to Safety

The American Trucking Associations released new data finding the trucking industry invests $14 billion annually in technology, training and other expenditures to improve highway safety.

“The trucking industry’s highest commitment is to keep our roads, drivers and the entire motoring public safe,” said ATA President and CEO Chris Spear. “This report clearly demonstrates that safety isn’t just a slogan for our industry, it is our mission. While others talk about their commitment to safety, the trucking industry is doing the work and investing in life-saving technology and training every day.”

Wreaths Across America Announces the Mobile Education Exhibit 2024 National Tour Schedule

Wreaths Across America (WAA) is overwhelmed with the outpouring of support from communities throughout the country for its Mobile Education Exhibit (MEE). The MEE is a rolling interactive museum that shares the organization's mission to Remember the fallen, Honor those who serve, and Teach the next generation the value of freedom. Leave early and avoid risks:  Leave early and allow for delays in your travel schedule. Know your limitations: don't drive when tired, upset or physically ill.


Plan ahead: Before you get on a highway, know your exit by name and number, and watch the signs as you near the off-ramp. Drivers making unexpected lane changes to exit often cause accidents.

As a result of TCA's Call on Washington, we gained three co-sponsors of S.1034 and two co-sponsors of H.R. 2367, both known as The Truck Parking Improvement Act.
However, there is still more to do! Our legislators asked TCA and its membership to identify closed rest areas. By doing so, we are ensuring these rest stops are back in business and making truck parking more accessible!
