One of the problems faced by Trucker Buddies, who help to educate and mentor schoolchildren via a pen pal program, is locating greeting cards and postcards at truck and rest stops. Many drivers send their classrooms a card from the state they are driving in and find it can be difficult to take the time to stop and buy one. For a very small fee, they print the card, address it and then place postage on it to be sent by the post office. Within days, the teacher receives the card in the mail.
Drivers and teachers can design custom cards by placing pictures of their trucks or pictures of classroom projects on the cards. Also, due to the generosity of their distributor, a small donation will be given based on the usage.
“This will be a time and expense saver for our drivers. Locating a post office box, postage and even the card can be very time consuming. This will effectively end that entire process and give the drivers more opportunity to communicate with the classroom about their travels,” says Randy Schwartzenburg, Trucker Buddy International executive director.

Since 1992, Trucker Buddy International has helped educate over a million schoolchildren and introduced them to caring, compassionate men and women, professional truck drivers.
