Heavy Haul Driver - Fort Worth, TX

Class A CDL Heavy Haul Driver (Experienced Heavy Haul Drivers Only Please!)

Austin Wood Recycling is looking for an experienced CDL A heavy haul driver. We are looking for drivers experienced with oversize/overweight and permitted loads.

Applicants must be able to safely operate a track loader, excavator and wheel loader proficiently enough to safely load a lowboy-style heavy haul trailer.

Safety is KEY at AWR and having a safe record is critical. This position will be working out of our 2100 CR 118 facility in Hutto, TX (78634) or our 9201 FM 812 yard in South Austin, TX (78719).

Responsibilities

· Operate and maintain a clean company truck in a safe and professional manner.

· Perform pre/post trip inspections, comply with state/federal hours of service requirements, and operate the vehicle in accordance with DOT regulations.

· Complete all necessary paperwork in a timely manner.

· Report all accidents and injuries, regardless of severity.

· Pick up equipment/product as directed

· Additional duties may be assigned

· Safely and efficiently transport heavy earth-moving equipment to/from job locations and in accordance with all laws, regulations, etc.

· Follow all Standard Operating Procedures and processes.

· Make and assume other duties and responsibilities required or assigned by management.

Minimum Requirements

· Class A Commercial Driver’s License Required

· Ability to work +/- 50 hours per week with overtime (hours not guaranteed)

· Equipment Hauling; tractor trailer, live-floor trailer experience preferred

· Must have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record

· Must pass a drug screening

· Must pass a DOT physical and provide medical card

· Must be able to lift up to 75lbs

· Must be able to sit and stand for long periods of time with frequent bending and stooping

· Previous job references will be checked. Good references required
